  गुरु नानक जयंती ( Guru Nanak Jayanti) सिक्ख धर्म के लिए एक बड़ा त्योहार है। कार्तिक मास की अमावस्या को दिवाली मनाई जाती है और उसके पंद्रह दिनों बाद यानी कि कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन ‘गुरु नानक जयंती’ को मनाया जाता है। ये पर्व भी दीपावली की तरह से मनाया जाता है। इस पर्व की लोग महीनों पहले से तैयारी शुरू कर देते हैं। गुरु नानक जयंती को प्रकाश पर्व या गुरु पर्व भी कहते हैं। यही कारण है कि गुरु नानक देव की जयंती के मौके पर चारों ओर दीप जलाकर रोशनी की जाती है। इस खास दिन को गुरु नानक देव के जन्म की खुशी में मनाया जाता है। इतिहास गुरु नानक देव सिक्ख धर्म के पहले गुरु थे। उनका जन्म 1469 ई. को हुआ था। नानक जी का जन्म 1469 में कार्तिक पूर्णिमा को पंजाब (अब पाकिस्तान) क्षेत्र में रावी नदी के किनारे स्थित तलवंडी नामक गांव में हुआ। अब गुरु नानक जी का ये जन्म स्थल पाकिस्तान के पंजाब प्रांत में मौजूद ननकाना साहिब में स्थित है। इस जगह को गुरु नानक देव के नाम से जाना जाता है। यहां देश विदेश से लोग प्रसिध्द गुरुद्वारा ननकाना साहिब के दर्शन के लिए आते हैं। कहा जाता है कि सिक्ख साम्राज्य के राजा महाराजा रणजीत सिंह ने यह गुरुद्वारा ‘ननकाना साहिब’ बनवाया था। कौन थे गुरु नानक गुरुनानक देव ने मूर्ति पूजा को निरर्थक माना और सदैव रूढ़ियों प्रथाओ और कुसंस्कारों के विरोध में रहे। माना जाता है कि गुरु नानक जी ने ही सिख समाज की नीव रखी थी। सिख समुदाय के गुरु नानक देव जी पहले गुरु थे। इस कारण से ही उनकी विशेष रूप से पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है। गुरु नानक देव जी को उनके अनुनायी नानक देव, बाबा नानक और नानकशाह के नाम से पुकारा जाता है और उन्हें लद्दाख और तिब्बत क्षेत्र में ‘नानक लामा’ भी कहा जाता है। नानक जी की मृत्यु 22 सितम्बर, 1539 ई.पू. को हुई। अपनी मृत्यु से पहले अपने शिष्य भाई लहना को अपना उत्तराधिकारी बनाया, जो बाद में गुरु अंगद देव के नाम से जाना गया। जीवन और सिद्धांत गुरु नानक देव जी के जीवन और उनके कार्यों का प्रभाव भारतीय इतिहास और समाज पर गहरा और स्थायी है। उनका जन्म 1469 में हुआ था, एक ऐसा समय जब भारतीय समाज में जाति प्रथा गहरी जड़ें जमाए हुए थी। जाति प्रथा के कारण समाज में आर्थिक और सामाजिक असमानता फैली हुई थी, जिससे गरीब वर्ग की स्थिति अत्यधिक दयनीय थी और उच्च वर्ग लगातार अपने प्रभाव का विस्तार कर रहा था। इस अन्यायपूर्ण व्यवस्था को बदलने का बीड़ा गुरु नानक देव ने उठाया। गुरु नानक का दृष्टिकोण और उनका स्वप्न गहन आत्म-चिंतन और साधना के बाद, गुरु नानक को एक दिव्य अनुभव प्राप्त हुआ। उन्होंने पाया कि परमात्मा के साथ जुड़ने के लिए किसी औपचारिक संस्थान, पुरोहितों, या जाति प्रथा की आवश्यकता नहीं है। उनका यह स्वप्न भारतीय समाज के लिए एक क्रांतिकारी संदेश था। इसमें गुरु नानक ने सभी मनुष्यों को समानता का अधिकार दिया और बताया कि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का परमात्मा से सीधा संबंध है। यह संदेश, “इक ओंकार” (ईश्वर एक है), आज भी सिक्ख धर्म का मूल सिद्धांत है, जो सभी मनुष्यों को समान दृष्टि से देखता है। जाति प्रथा का विरोध और सामाजिक सुधार गुरु नानक देव जी ने पुरोहित वर्ग और जाति प्रथा का विरोध किया, जो तब सामाजिक असमानता का मुख्य कारण थी। उन्होंने यह घोषित किया कि सभी लोग एक समान हैं और प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का ईश्वर से सीधा संबंध हो सकता है। इसके अलावा, गुरु नानक ने वेदों और धार्मिक शास्त्रों को पढ़ने से इनकार कर दिया, क्योंकि वह मानते थे कि परमात्मा की प्राप्ति के लिए किसी भी बाहरी ज्ञान या माध्यम की आवश्यकता नहीं है। गुरु नानक के उपदेशों ने समाज में भेदभाव, अस्पृश्यता, और सामाजिक असमानता के खिलाफ एक मजबूत आवाज उठाई। उनके इस दृष्टिकोण ने भारतीय समाज को एक नया दृष्टिकोण दिया, जिसमें प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को प्रेम, करुणा, और समानता का अधिकार प्राप्त हुआ। गुरु नानक का जीवन और उनके कार्य सामाजिक और धार्मिक परंपराओं को चुनौती देने का प्रतीक हैं। उनकी विचारधारा उस समय के धार्मिक और सामाजिक ढांचे के खिलाफ थी, इसीलिए शुरुआत में उन्हें “विधर्मी” के रूप में देखा गया। पारंपरिक पुरोहितों और उच्च जाति के लोगों के लिए गुरु नानक का संदेश अस्वीकार्य था, क्योंकि उन्होंने परमात्मा को प्राप्त करने के स्थापित तरीकों, जैसे कि जाति प्रथा, उपवास, तीर्थ यात्रा, और पारंपरिक अनुष्ठानों को पूरी तरह से नकार दिया। दलितों और निम्न वर्ग के लिए प्रेरणास्त्रोत गुरु नानक की शिक्षाओं ने विशेष रूप से दलितों और निम्न वर्ग के लोगों को एक नई राह दिखाई। वे उनके सिद्धांतों में अपने जीवन की बेहतरी देख सके, जहाँ उन्हें समानता, इज्जत, और आत्मसम्मान का अधिकार मिला। गुरु नानक ने हर व्यक्ति को यह भरोसा दिलाया कि जाति, रंग, या सामाजिक स्थिति का परमात्मा से जुड़ने पर कोई प्रभाव नहीं है। इसने उन्हें समाज के नायक के रूप में स्थापित किया, और उनके अनुयायियों की संख्या तेजी से बढ़ने लगी। नैतिकता और आध्यात्मिकता पर आधारित जीवन गुरु नानक ने यह स्पष्ट किया कि परमात्मा से जुड़ने के लिए तीर्थ स्थलों और उपवास जैसे बाहरी कर्मकांड आवश्यक नहीं हैं। उन्होंने अपने अनुयायियों को एक नैतिक, सच्चाईपूर्ण और समर्पित जीवन जीने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उनकी शिक्षाओं में प्रार्थना, सेवा, और परोपकार को सर्वोपरि माना गया, जहाँ हर व्यक्ति को समाज की भलाई और ईश्वर की आराधना में संलग्न रहना चाहिए। राजनैतिक और धार्मिक विरोध गुरु नानक के विचारों ने उन्हें न केवल पारंपरिक पुरोहितों का, बल्कि तत्कालीन मुग़ल सत्ता का भी विरोधी बना दिया। मुग़ल शासक बाबर के अत्याचारों का विरोध करने के कारण उन्हें बंदी भी बनाया गया था। बाबर की कैद के दौरान भी गुरु नानक ने अपने सिद्धांतों को बनाए रखा और अन्याय के खिलाफ आवाज उठाई, जिससे उन्होंने धार्मिक और राजनीतिक अन्याय के विरोध का उदाहरण पेश किया। सिक्ख धर्म की
